Public consultation
New overhead lines of 132kV, and other overhead lines associated with a devolved generation station, are classed as a Development of National Significance (DNS) in Wales. This means that decisions are made by Welsh Ministers, and developers must submit consent application to Planning and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW).
Following the first round of public consultation, we will carefully consider all feedback received, along with reports from our environmental and technical surveys.
We will publish a report summarising the feedback received in this round of consultation and how this has influenced our proposals. We will then carry out a detailed Environmental Impact Assessment and hold further public consultation, so that people can give us their views on the detailed route alignment including locations for pylons, access routes and working areas.
