Our second non-statutory consultation on the draft route alignment for Towy Usk, held from Wednesday 13 March to Wednesday 8 May 2024, is now closed.
We’d like to thank everyone who took part and provided valuable feedback.
While the consultation has closed, the project team will continue to engage with stakeholders and landowners as the project develops.
In our second non-statutory consultation we asked for feedback on the draft route alignment, including the proposed locations of wood poles, pylons, underground cables, and other infrastructure, along with any other factors you would like us to consider.
Next steps
We have revised the timing of the statutory consultation for the Towy Usk proposals. Originally planned for late 2025, the statutory consultation is now expected to take place in 2026.
Community input is invaluable in shaping the future of this project. Thank you for the detailed feedback and route suggestions provided during our last non-statutory consultation held in spring 2024.
We are taking additional time to carefully consider the feedback received from communities and stakeholders, while continuing our environmental and technical surveys. This decision reflects our strong commitment to getting this project right - ensuring that your views help shape the project in a meaningful way.
The statutory consultation, where people can review and comment on the detailed designs and the draft Environmental Statement before the consent application is submitted to PEDW, will now take place in 2026.
